Hamamatsu C9100-02 Digital Camera

Hamamatsu C9100-02 Digital Camera

The C9100 series gather all expected features: high gain, high signal to noise ratio, resolution and speed, thanks to a new generation EM-CCD sensor in a proprietary permanently sealed vacuum chamber evacuated to 10 -8 Torr.

With on-chip multiplication technology of the EM-CCD sensor the signal is drastically boosted while readout noise value is kept below 1 electron r.m.s. at high gain mode. The gain factor of the C9100-02 is up to 2000 and this camera is able to grab 30 frames per second keeping 14 bit dynamic range and full resolution of 1000 x 1000 pixel. The C9100-02 supports sub-array and binning modes, which enable high frame rate,100 frames per second or higher.

The C9100-02 is recommended for all applications requiring high gain, speed, good resolution, high dynamics and signal to noise ratio.

The C8600-Series is a high sensitive image intensifier unit developed for low light level observations such as fluorescence. High quantum efficiency of 50 % (typ.) at the peek wavelength is achieved with our Hamamatsu-original GaAsP (gallium, arsenic, and phosphorous) photocathode. Since high gain and spatial resolution are realized simultaneously, low fluorescence under a microscope can be observed in real time using Hamamatsu cameras.

The field of molecular cell biology has made use of total internal reflection fluorescence microscopy. When used as an image detector, the high detection sensitivity of the C8600-03 efficiently images the single molecule fluorescence in real time.

The C7770 is the High Speed Digital CCD camera which can achieve 291 Hz frame rate while keeping very low readout (20 electrons r.m.s.typ.) noise performance. In the combination of binning readout, the fastest frame rate can increase up to 1400 Hz. The lower readout noise with such fast frame makes this camera an ideal choice for fast phenomenon measurement even w/o strong illumination tool or image intensifier. In order to achieve both high speed and a low readout noise characteristic at the same time, the C7770 employs a special progressive interline CCD chip which eliminates the need for a mechanical shutter. This means that problem such as vibration caused by mechanical shutter at fast frame rate, and the lifetime of the mechanical shutter, have been completely eliminated.
