| CytoSize |
The user has the ability to eliminate area screen objects based on their size or any other selected area measurment. The user is givien a dialog box showing the data as was sampled from the image, sorted in ascending order, and in a frequency histogram showing the population distribution.
The user can eliminate area screen objects by selecting minimum and maximum settings which "gate out" the undesirable screen objects. Population statistics for the entire population are displayed for the user in a dialog box. Objects outside of the gate can be highlighted on the screen and then removed from the analysis.
A tab-delimited ASCII data file can be produced to record the frequency histogram of the total population or the gated population. This data file is suitable for use with EXCEL and many other software packages.
The CytoSize routine has been written to be callable from other existing routines in Opitmas. When called in this way, the program onyl returns the minimum and maximum gate limits selected by the user.
