High-performance digital camera systems for microscopy! |

|||||
Digital imaging heralds a new era in the story of photography - an era with very attractive advantages. Digitalized images can be created on the monitor in a moment, and can then be processed, stored, deleted or reused. They can be printed or transmitted, or combined with multi-media applications or Internet publishing.
The new easy-to-use LEICA DC 100 digital imaging system is suitable for almost any application in industry, medicine or research. The optical components and the software were designed specially for microscopy and enable digitized images to be efficiently created, manipulated and stored, irrespective of whether the microscopical technique involves incident light, transmitted light, or fluorescent illumination.
The new Leica DC 200 digital imaging system has a resolution of 1.3 megapixels (2.6 megapixels with software duplication), making it suitable for the discriminating user in research and analysis. The camera itself, the camera optics and the software are all designed for microscopy and enable digitized images of subjects examined using incident- and transmitted-light procedures, or fluorescence, to be efficiently created, processed and stored. Image integration makes it possible to create correct images even under low light conditions, without any loss of information or of quality. The direct transfer of the original pixel information into the PC, the constant gain, and the synchronization of pixels between camera and monitor, permit detailed and precise measurements and analyses.
