Leica 2 and Leica 3 Digital 2D and 3D Video Systems

The three-dimensional image, the outstanding advantage of stereomicroscopy as opposed to other techniques, can now also be used for remote viewing, training, documentation and archiving. Leica has developed a compact digital 3D video system with first-class imaging quality for these applications.

Besides the possibility of storing 3D images in operational registries, parallel interfaces for linking up external computers enable 3D image files to be imported and exported. The LEICA 3 offers the additional information contained in 3D stereo images, not only in visual form, but also all possibilities of image processing, transmission and storage. The LEICA 2 is also an integrated image recording system for 2-dimensional video images. The specially optimized recording module is directly assembled in the light path of Leica stereomicroscopes.
