Working with standard imaging hardware, XCaliperproduces gauging measurements in less than 3 milliseconds and object measurements in less than20 milliseconds. This means you can get the answers you want as fast as you need them; up to 300critical dimensions per second. And, because it does not use proprietary hardware, XCaliper willcontinue to perform even faster as the power of personal computers increases.

Accuracy

XCaliper is dead accurate. You can detect edges and feature locations that are accurate to 1/8th of apixel and repeatable to 1/16th of a pixel. XCaliper lets you calibrate the image so that the edges andfeature locations are not affected even as lighting conditions change on the factory floor.

Flexibilty

XCaliper adapts to a wide variety of inspection tasks. Powerful tools for edge detection, featurefinding, and measurement come pre-configured for ease of use. The drag-and-drop interface inVisual Basic makes it easy to create an application or change one to meet new demands. Development Process

XCaliper is designed as a set of Visual Basic Extension (VBX) tools. To build an application,simply drag-and-drop these pre-configured tools on a Visual Basic form. Each tool indudes aproperties sheet so you can easily configure the tool to suit your inspection task. You cancustomize user input, data handling, and process control directly in Visual Basic to create a standalone application.
