| The CG-7 frame grabber has been
expressly designed for use with high quality three chip CCD cameras outputting
RGB video signals. Its three independent digitizer channels provide the
utmost in image quality and fidelity. The CG-7 is suitable for such applications
as multi-spectral FISH imaging and capturing the finest color images for
publication. With its control of integrating cameras, the CG-7 is particularly
suited for color flourescence applications. The CG-7's high resolution
capture mode enables acquisition of images with four times the pixels of
standard images. See our image gallery for sample high resolution images.
The CG-7 has numerous other features which make it desirable for scientific color imaging. Its video output can be used to display live video on an external monitor or to send enhanced and annotated images to a color video printer. It has two RS-232 serial ports for controlling shutters and filter wheeels, as well as an external trigger line for synchronizing to external events. Also, each color channel has independent offset and gain settings. |

| The CG-7 may be used in any Macintosh or PC compatible with a full size PCI slot. It may be used with either grayscale video sources or with RGB color video sources as long as they adhere to either NTSC or PAL timing characteristics. The CG-7 may not be used with composite color video signals as in the interest of image fidelity, the video signal is not filtered to remove color information. |
