Insects account for the vast majority of species in the world; there are more entomology species than all other mammals, reptiles, and fish combined. Museums, universities, government agencies, and companies worldwide devote massive amounts of time and energy to gaining a higher understanding the role insects play in our world. Collections around the world are not easily shared or examined.
With explorable gigapixel imagery of entomology collections around the world, we can bring all of these collections together, conduct collaborative online studies, and offer the public access to collections that are rarely, if ever, seen.
